Walk on the Side of Righteousness Daily Reflection and Prayer Thursday July 10th 2025

Isaiah 1:17 – “Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow.”

This verse calls us to active compassion and justice. It reminds us that faith is not just about belief but about action—standing up for those who cannot stand up for themselves. It challenges us to be agents of change in our communities, to advocate for fairness, and to protect the vulnerable.

Identify a local organization that supports vulnerable groups such as orphans, widows, or the oppressed, and consider volunteering or donating.

Reflect on any biases or injustices in your own community and think about practical steps you can take to promote fairness.

Commit to regularly advocating for those who are marginalized through prayer, awareness, and action.

Prayer
Lord, help me to seek justice in all situations and to stand firmly for those who are vulnerable and oppressed. Give me the courage to speak up for those who have no voice and the compassion to care for the widow, the orphan, and the stranger. Teach me to live out my faith through loving actions, and guide me to be a beacon of Your righteousness in this world. Amen.
