Walk on the Side of Righteousness Daily Reflection and Prayer Monday July 22 2025
1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

In 1 Timothy 2:1-2, This passage reminds us of the importance of praying not only for ourselves and our loved ones but also for leaders and those who govern. It highlights God’s desire for all people to be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. This calls us to a posture of compassion and active prayer, recognizing that God’s will is for everyone’s salvation.
Make a daily habit of praying for people in authority—government leaders, community leaders, and church leaders. Pray for their wisdom, guidance, and decisions that promote peace and justice. Also, extend your prayers to those around you who may be struggling or far from God, asking that they come to know His truth and salvation.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your desire that all people be saved and come to know the truth. Help me to be faithful in praying for others, especially those in authority and those who do not yet know You. Give me a heart of compassion and patience to intercede on their behalf. Guide our leaders with wisdom and protect them as they make decisions that affect many. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
