Walk on the Side of Righteousness. Daily Reflection and Prayer for Wednesday July 9th 2025.

Matthew 7:1-2 “Do not judge, or you too will be judged. For in the same way you judge others, you will be judged, and with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.

In these verses, Jesus teaches us about judgment and mercy. He warns us against judging others harshly, reminding us that the measure we use to judge others will be the measure used for us. This calls us to examine our own hearts and attitudes before pointing out the faults in others. It challenges us to practice compassion, humility, and understanding, recognizing that we all have our own struggles and imperfections.

Today, make a conscious effort to withhold judgment when you encounter someone’s mistakes or shortcomings. Instead, offer a kind word or a helping hand. Reflect on your own imperfections and ask God for the strength to be patient and merciful. Practice seeing others through God’s eyes, recognizing their dignity and worth.

Prayer
Lord, help me to refrain from judging others and to look at them with eyes of compassion and grace. Teach me to be humble about my own faults and to extend the mercy I hope to receive. May I offer understanding instead of condemnation, and may my heart be filled with kindness and love. Guide me to walk in Your ways and to treat others as You would treat me. Amen.
