Walk on the Side of Righteousness. Daily Reflection and Prayer for Monday July 7th 2025.
Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled.”
This verse from the Beatitudes reminds us of the deep spiritual longing that God honors. Just as our bodies need food and water to survive, our souls need righteousness to thrive. Hungering and thirsting for righteousness means earnestly seeking to live according to God’s will, striving for justice, mercy, and holiness in our daily lives. It is a call to desire not just personal goodness but also the well-being of others and the world around us. When we seek righteousness with a sincere heart, God promises to satisfy that longing, filling us with His peace and grace.
Reflect on your actions and choices, and make a conscious effort to seek fairness, kindness, and integrity in everything you do.
Prayer
Lord God,
You know the desires of my heart and the depths of my soul. Help me to hunger and thirst for righteousness, not for my own glory, but for Your kingdom and justice to be established on earth. Fill me with Your Spirit so that I may live according to Your will and be a beacon of Your love and mercy to others. When I feel empty or discouraged, remind me that You are the source of true satisfaction and fulfillment. Guide me each day to walk in Your ways and to seek Your righteousness above all else.
