Day 34

Day 34 of Lent Saturday March 28th

Scripture

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”John 10:10 (NIV)

Reflection

On this 34th day, we remember that The Path to the Cross is actually the path to the best possible life. Sometimes we think of Lent as just “giving things up,” but Jesus tells us that He came for the exact opposite reason: so that we could have a life that is full, overflowing, and “abundant.”

Following Him toward the cross isn’t a walk toward a dead end; it’s a walk toward a new beginning. Every step you take in faith—every time you choose kindness, every time you spend a few minutes in prayer, every time you work on your personal growth—you are stepping into that “full life” He promised. Today, as you handle your Saturday responsibilities and spend time with your family, do it with the upbeat confidence that you are on the right track. You aren’t losing out on anything; you are gaining a life that is secure, purposeful, and joyful. The best parts of your journey are still ahead.

Prayer

Lord Jesus, I thank You for the 34 days I have completed. I thank You that Your path leads to a full and abundant life. Help me to see the blessings You have placed in my day today. Give me a joyful heart as I serve my family and work on my projects. I walk forward with hope, knowing that following You leads to the greatest victory of all. Amen.
