Day 13

Day 13 of Lent Wednesday March 4th 2026

Scripture

“But he answered, ‘It is written, “Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.”‘” — Matthew 4:4

Reflection

We are now entering the third week of our journey. For some of us, these first twelve days have been a challenge—a dry wilderness where we are feeling the weight of our fast or the stress of our daily lives. For others, this season has been one of quiet steady progress and unexpected peace.

Regardless of where you stand today, the message remains the same: we do not live by physical comforts or external circumstances alone. We live by the steady, unchanging truth of God’s Word. Jesus’ walk through the wilderness wasn’t just a test of survival; it was a demonstration of focus. Today, whether your path is currently rocky or smooth, take a moment to nourish your soul with Scripture. It is the fuel that sustains us for the long haul, reminding us that we are never walking alone.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for the strength that comes from Your Word. Today, I lift up everyone walking this path with me. For those who are struggling, be their rock and their refuge. For those who are in a season of peace, be their joy and their inspiration. No matter what our individual day looks like, help us to lean on Your promises and find our sustenance in You. Keep our steps steady as we move closer to the light of Easter. Amen.
