Day 5 of Lent – Monday March 10th 2025

1 Corinthians 10: 31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.

Psalm 51: 10-12 Create in me a pure heart, O God, and renew a steadfast spirit within me. Do not cast me from your presence or take your Holy Spirit from me. Restore to me the joy of your salvation and grant me a willing spirit, to sustain me.

Day 5 Reflection – Spiritual Growth

We are reminded of the importance of self-denial, repentance, and renewal. On this sixth day, take a moment to reflect on the areas of your life where you may need to let go of things that distract you from fully experiencing God’s presence.

Ask yourself: How am I living out God’s love in my actions today? Am I taking time to listen to His voice in the quiet moments? Lent is not just a time of giving things up, but also a time of drawing closer to the Lord and becoming more attuned to His will.

Take comfort in knowing that each small step you take brings you closer to spiritual growth. Let today be a day of surrender, trust, and hope as you continue walking this sacred path. Spend time in prayer, and thank God for His unending mercy and the opportunity to grow in faith.

Pause and ask yourself: Are my daily actions and choices glorifying God? Am I prioritizing my spiritual growth over worldly concerns? Lent calls us to realign our hearts and minds, to seek a deeper connection with God, and to love others as Christ loves you.

Prayer: Heavenly Father,
Thank You for this day and for the many ways You continue to bless and guide me. I pray for Your wisdom and strength as I navigate the challenges before me. Help me to see Your hand in every situation and to trust in Your plan, even when I do not fully understand it.

Lord, teach me to love others as You have loved me. Fill my heart with compassion, and help me to be a reflection of Your grace and mercy. Forgive me for the times I have fallen short, and renew my spirit so that I may walk boldly in faith.

May I use this day to bring glory to Your name. Guide my words, my thoughts, and my actions so that they may align with Your will. Thank You for the gift of Your presence and for the peace that comes from knowing You are always near.

In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
