Day 36 of Lent – Faith and Trust

On Holy Tuesday, we remember Jesus’ journey to the Mount of Olives, a place where He often sought solitude and communion with the Father. It was here that He prepared His heart for the trials ahead, teaching His disciples about faith, perseverance, and the coming Kingdom of God. This day invites us to reflect deeply on our own faith journey, asking ourselves if we are prepared to follow Christ even in moments of uncertainty and challenge.

Reflection:
As Jesus walked to the Mount of Olives, He carried the weight of knowing what was to come—the betrayal, suffering, and sacrifice. Yet, He remained steadfast, trusting completely in God’s plan. How often do we struggle to trust when life feels overwhelming? Today is an opportunity to examine our hearts and surrender our fears to God, knowing that His love and purpose for us are greater than we can imagine.

Pause for a moment and consider:

  • Are there areas in your life where you are holding back from fully trusting God?
  • How can you draw closer to Him in prayer and reflection?

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, as You journeyed to the Mount of Olives, You showed us the depth of Your courage and trust in the Father’s plan. On this Holy Tuesday, we ask for Your grace to follow Your example. Strengthen our faith, help us to release our fears, and guide us to walk in Your footsteps. May we find solace in Your presence and courage in Your unfailing love.

Heavenly Father, prepare our hearts to receive Your guidance and wisdom. Let Your Spirit fill us with peace and perseverance as we face the challenges of life. May we always seek Your will and trust in Your divine plan, just as Jesus did.

Amen.
