Thursday October 2nd – Living the Right Way

Ephesians 4:29-32 Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear. 30 And do not grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of redemption. 31 Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. 32 Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ forgave you.

These verses challenge us to examine how we communicate and relate to others daily. Are our words encouraging and full of grace? Do we harbor unforgiveness or resentment that hinders our relationships? Embracing kindness and forgiveness not only restores broken relationships but also nurtures our spiritual growth and witness to the world.

Prayer: Lord God, thank You for Your Word that guides us toward love and unity. Help me to speak words that build up and bring life to those around me. Teach me to guard my tongue and to use it for encouragement and grace. Lord, remove any bitterness, anger, or malice from my heart. Fill me instead with kindness, compassion, and a forgiving spirit, just as You have forgiven me through Christ.
Help me to walk in Your love daily, showing others the mercy and grace You freely give. May my life be a reflection of Your peace and reconciliation.
In Jesus’ name, I pray,
Amen.
