Monday October 13th – Righteousness

Romans 5:1–2 “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God.”

This passage reminds us of the profound peace that comes from being justified by faith. Justification means being declared righteous before God, not because of our own efforts, but through faith in Jesus Christ. This peace is not merely an absence of conflict but a deep, abiding reconciliation with God. It is through Jesus that we gain access to God’s grace—a grace that sustains us and allows us to stand firm amidst life’s challenges. Moreover, this grace fills us with hope, a confident expectation of sharing in God’s glory. This hope encourages us to persevere and live with joy, knowing that our future is secure in Him.

Prayer Lord God, thank You for the gift of faith that justifies us and brings us peace. Help us to fully grasp the depth of Your grace and to stand firm in it every day. Strengthen our hope in Your promises, so that we may rejoice even in trials, confident in the glory that awaits us. Teach us to live as people who are reconciled to You, reflecting Your love and peace to those around us. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
