“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Friday August 15th 2025
1 John 1:9 “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.”

Confession is not just about admitting wrongs; it is about restoring our relationship with God and experiencing His cleansing power that renews and transforms us. It assures us that God’s justice is paired with His mercy, offering us both accountability and grace.

Take a moment today to honestly reflect on any areas in your life where you need to seek forgiveness. Write them down if it helps. Then, confess these to God in prayer, trusting in His promise to forgive and cleanse you. Consider also how you might extend forgiveness to others, reflecting God’s grace in your relationships.

Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your faithful promise to forgive and cleanse me when I confess my sins. Help me to come before You with a humble and honest heart, trusting fully in Your mercy. Cleanse me from all unrighteousness and renew my spirit. Teach me to extend the same forgiveness to others, so I may live in Your peace and love. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
