“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Tuesday August 19th 2025
Ephesians 2:4-8 “But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.”

Reflection:
This passage reminds us of the incredible love and mercy God has for us. Even when we were spiritually dead because of our sins, He made us alive through Christ. Our salvation is a gift from God, not something we earn through our own efforts. This grace is a powerful expression of God’s kindness and generosity. It humbles us and calls us to live with gratitude, recognizing that our relationship with God is not based on what we do but on what He has done for us.
Action:
Take time today to reflect on the grace God has shown you. Write down ways you can show kindness and grace to others, mirroring the love God has given you. Consider forgiving someone or offering help where it’s needed without expecting anything in return.
Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your amazing grace and mercy. Thank You for making me alive in Christ even when I was lost in sin. Help me to live in gratitude and to extend Your kindness to others. Teach me to rely on Your grace daily and to share that grace freely. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
