“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Thursday August 28th 2025

2 Peter 3:9 “The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.”

Reflection:
This verse reminds us of God’s incredible patience and mercy. Although it may feel like He is delaying His promises, His timing is perfect, rooted in His desire for all people to have the opportunity to turn to Him. God’s love is so vast that He waits, giving everyone time to repent and be reconciled with Him. This challenges us to reflect on our own patience and how we extend grace to others, recognizing that transformation and growth take time.

Action:
Take a moment to reach out to someone you know who might be struggling with their faith or feeling distant from God. Share a kind word, offer to pray with them, or simply listen to their concerns. Practice patience in your relationships, mirroring God’s patience with us.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for Your endless patience and mercy. Help me to trust in Your perfect timing and to be patient with others as You are with me. Teach me to extend grace and love, so that I may reflect Your heart to those around me. Guide those who have yet to come to repentance and draw them close to You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
