John 15:12-13 “My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends.”

These verses emphasize the depth and selflessness of true love. Jesus calls us to love not just in words or feelings, but through actions that demonstrate sacrifice and care for others. The ultimate example He gives is the willingness to lay down one’s life for friends, highlighting the incomparable value of self-giving love. This challenges us to examine how we love those around us—are we willing to put their needs before our own? True love requires courage, commitment, and often sacrifice.
Action:
Today, find a way to show sacrificial love to someone in your life. This could be through offering your time, listening intently, forgiving, or helping someone in need without expecting anything in return. Consider a practical way you can put others’ needs above your own in the coming days.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for the perfect example of love You have shown us. Help me to love others with the same selflessness and courage. Teach me to put aside my own desires and to serve those around me with a loving heart. Give me strength to love even when it is difficult.
