“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Monday August 25th 2025

John 8:12 “When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, ‘I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.’”

Reflection:
In this verse, Jesus declares Himself as the light that guides us through the darkness of life. Darkness can symbolize confusion, fear, sin, and despair, while light represents truth, hope, and salvation. Following Jesus means choosing a path illuminated by His teachings and love, leading us away from the shadows of doubt and into a life filled with purpose and clarity. This verse invites us to trust in Jesus as our guiding light, especially during challenging times.

Action:
Take some time today to reflect on areas in your life where you may be experiencing darkness or uncertainty. Commit to seeking Jesus’s guidance through prayer, reading Scripture, or connecting with a faith community. Let His light influence your decisions and interactions with others, becoming a beacon of hope and kindness in your surroundings.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, You are the light of the world. In moments of darkness, help me to follow You faithfully and trust in Your guidance. Shine Your light into every corner of my life, dispelling fear and doubt. Teach me to walk confidently in Your truth and to share Your light with those around me. Thank You for being my constant source of hope and life. Amen.
