Wednesday September 3rd 2025 – A Prayer for the Poor, the Homeless, the Hungry and all those in Need
1 John 3:16-18 This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters. If anyone has material possessions and sees a brother or sister in need but has no pity on them, how can the love of God be in that person? Dear children, let us not love with words or speech but with actions and in truth.
Prayer Heavenly Father, we lift up to You the poor, the homeless, the hungry, and all those in need. May Your divine mercy surround them and provide them with comfort, shelter, nourishment, and hope. Inspire our hearts to act with genuine charity and kindness, so that through our actions, Your love may shine brightly in their lives. Help us to see the face of Christ in every person we encounter and to serve them with compassion and humility.
