Day 23 of Lent – Embracing Righteousness

Righteousness is more than simply following rules or adhering to moral standards; it is about living in alignment with God’s truth and embodying His love in every action. As we journey through Lent, we are called to reflect on our own hearts and ask: Are we living as vessels of God’s justice, mercy, and compassion?

True righteousness is rooted in humility. It requires us to recognize that our strength comes not from our own efforts but from God’s grace working within us. In striving to be righteous, we must remember that it is not about perfection, but about surrendering to God’s will and allowing His Spirit to transform us.

Take time today to examine your intentions and actions. Are they guided by love and fairness? Are you seeking to honor God in the way you treat others? Let this reflection inspire you to walk more closely in the footsteps of Christ, who showed us the ultimate example of righteous living through His selfless sacrifice.

Prayer: Lord, help me to pursue righteousness not for my own glory, but as a reflection of Your love and truth. May my actions bring justice and peace to those around me, and may I always strive to follow Your will. Amen.
