Day 17 of Lent Monday March 24th 2025

Day 17 of Lent – Hope in the Lord
Psalms 33: 20-22 We wait in hope for the Lord; he is our help and our shield. In him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in his holy name. May your unfailing love be with us, Lord, even as we put our hope in you.
Proverbs 3: 5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight
Isaiah 40: 31 But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.
Hope becomes a guiding light in the midst of reflection and repentance. It reminds us that no matter how heavy the burdens we carry or how dark the path may seem, God’s promise of renewal and redemption is steadfast.
Hope is not passive; it is an active trust in God’s plan, even when we cannot see the full picture. It calls us to lean into His love and grace, to believe that He is working all things for our good. During this season of sacrifice and prayer, let us allow hope to anchor our souls, lifting our eyes toward the ultimate victory of Easter morning.
Today, take a moment to rest in the assurance of God’s promises. Reflect on an area in your life where you need to invite hope to dwell, and ask God to strengthen your faith. As we wait and prepare in this holy season, may hope lead us closer to His heart.
Prayer: Heavenly Father in this season of Lent, we come before You with hearts open to Your grace. When we feel weary or uncertain, remind us of the hope we have in You. Help us to trust in Your plan and to hold onto the promise of new life through Christ. Strengthen our faith, and fill us with the courage to face each day. May Your Spirit guide us and renew us with hope in every moment.
Amen.
