Day 15 of Lent Friday March 21st 2025

Day 15 Reflection for Lent – Love thy Neighbor
One of the key teachings of Jesus is to love thy neighbor, which serves as a profound reminder during this sacred season. Loving our neighbor goes beyond mere words; it calls us to action, compassion, and understanding. It challenges us to see Christ in others, no matter their background, beliefs, or circumstances.
As we journey through Lent, we are invited to examine our relationships and ask ourselves: Are we truly living out the commandment to love our neighbor? Are we forgiving, patient, and kind? Do we offer help to those in need, or do we turn away? Lent provides the perfect opportunity to align our actions with our faith, seeking ways to build bridges rather than barriers.
Let us use this time to open our hearts, to give generously, to listen deeply, and to serve humbly. By loving our neighbor as ourselves, we not only honor God’s greatest commandment but also bring light into a world that so desperately needs it.
Prayer: Heavenly FatherThank You for teaching us the importance of love and compassion. Help me to love my neighbor as You have commanded, regardless of differences or challenges. Fill my heart with patience, kindness, and understanding, so that I may reflect Your love in my actions and words. Let Your grace guide me to be a source of peace and encouragement to those around me.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
