Day 8 of Lent – Thursday March 13th 2025
Psalms 100: 1-5 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth. 2 Worship the Lord with gladness; come before him with joyful songs. 3 Know that the Lord is God. t is he who made us, and we are his; we are his people, the sheep of his pasture. 4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.5 For the Lord is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
Psalms 107: 4-9 Some wandered in desert wastelands, finding no way to a city where they could settle. 5 They were hungry and thirsty, and their lives ebbed away. 6 Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. 7 He led them by a straight way to a city where they could settle. 8 Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind, 9 for he satisfies the thirsty and fills the hungry with good things.
Thessalonians 5: 16-18 Rejoice always, 17 pray continually, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.
Epsheians 5: 20 Always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Day 8 Reflection – Our Blessings

Let us take a moment to reflect on the blessings in our lives. Gratitude opens our hearts to recognize the presence of God in the ordinary and extraordinary moments. It shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have, reminding us of God’s constant provision and love.
Today, pause and consider the small and big gifts in your life: the air you breathe, the food you eat, the love of family and friends, and the opportunities for growth and learning. Even in times of struggle, there is always something to be thankful for. Lent is a time to cultivate a heart of gratitude, trusting that God is with us in every season.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, Thank You for Your abundant blessings in my life.
Even in moments of difficulty, help me to see Your hand at work.
Teach me to be grateful for the simple joys and the challenges that shape me.
May my heart overflow with thanksgiving,
and may I use this season of Lent to grow closer to You.
Guide me to live each day with a spirit of gratitude,
and to share Your blessings with those around me.
Amen.
