Day 30 of Lent Tuesday March 24th

Scripture
“Let your eyes look straight ahead; fix your gaze directly before you. Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways.” — Proverbs 4:25-26 (NIV)
Reflection
On this 30th day, the goal is simple: stay on the path. By Tuesday of the fifth week, distractions are everywhere. You might be tempted to cut corners in your work, let your Lenten disciplines slide, or lose your patience with those around you. This scripture is a practical call to keep your focus sharp.
The Strength of Devotion is shown by what you choose to ignore. Don’t look to the left or the right at what others are doing or how much faster they seem to be moving. Fix your gaze on your own responsibilities and the commitments you made at the start of this season. When you give careful thought to your “paths”—your daily choices and habits—you become steadfast. You aren’t easily shaken by a bad day or a heavy workload. You simply keep moving forward, one steady step at a time.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for the 30 days I have completed. As I head toward the end of this lenten week, help me to keep my eyes fixed straight ahead. Remove the distractions that try to pull me off course. Give me the wisdom to think carefully about my choices today and the strength to stay steadfast in everything I do. I am committed to finishing this day and this week strong. Amen.
