The Oasis of the Journey Sunday March 8th

Scripture

“But those who drink the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” — John 4:14

Reflection

On a long trek, an oasis isn’t just a luxury; it’s a necessity. Today, we step off the road of “doing” and into the beauty of “being.” Sunday is our spiritual oasis—a day to set aside the fast, gather with others, and remember that the point of our endurance is to find ourselves closer to the Heart of God.

If the last two weeks have felt like a dry desert, today is the day to drink deeply from the “Living Water.” You don’t have to prove anything today. You don’t have to “try harder.” Today is simply about receiving the grace that has been pursuing you all week. Let the joy of this “Little Easter” remind you that while the road is long, the destination is certain, and the One who leads you is also the One who sustains you.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for this day of joy. Today, I set aside my worries and my work to rest in Your presence. Thank You for the “Living Water” that refreshes my soul and gives me the strength to keep going. May this celebration fill me with hope and remind me of the victory that awaits us at the end of this journey. Amen.
