Tuesday October 21th – What does the Lord Require of Us

Micah 6:8 “He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.”

This verse beautifully encapsulates what God desires from us—not complicated rituals or grand gestures, but simple, profound actions rooted in love and integrity. Acting justly means standing up for what is right, ensuring fairness in our dealings with others. Loving mercy calls us to show compassion and kindness, especially to those who are vulnerable or in need. Walking humbly with God reminds us to live with a sense of humility, recognizing our dependence on Him and maintaining a sincere relationship with Him. Together, these three actions guide us toward a life that honors God and positively impacts the world around us.

Prayer:
Lord, help me to live out the call of Your Word. Teach me to act justly in every situation, to show mercy without reservation, and to walk humbly with You each day. May my life reflect Your love and truth, drawing others closer to You. Thank You for guiding me in what is good. Amen.
