“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Friday August 22nd 2025

Matthew 11:28 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.”

Reflection:
This verse is a beautiful invitation from Jesus to those who are struggling, tired, or overwhelmed by life’s challenges. It reminds us that we don’t have to carry our burdens alone. Jesus offers rest—not just physical rest, but spiritual peace and relief from the worries that weigh on our hearts. In a world that often pushes us to keep going without pause, this scripture calls us to pause, surrender our struggles to God, and find renewal in His presence.

Action:
Take a moment today to identify the burdens you are carrying. Write them down if it helps. Then, consciously give those worries to Jesus through prayer. Consider setting aside a few minutes each day to rest in God’s presence, whether through prayer, meditation on Scripture, or simply sitting quietly, trusting God to renew your strength.

Prayer:
Lord Jesus, I come to You feeling weary and burdened. I thank You for Your invitation to find rest in You. Help me to let go of my worries and trust in Your peace. Renew my spirit and give me strength for each day. Teach me to lean on You and find true rest in Your love. Amen.
