“Trust in the Lord”, Daily Reflection and Prayer for Sunday August 17th 2025
Mark 2:27-28 Then he said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath. So the Son of Man is Lord even of the Sabbath.”

Reflection:
In this passage, Jesus reminds us that the Sabbath is meant to serve humanity, not to be a burden. It is a gift designed for our rest, renewal, and connection with God. Jesus, as Lord of the Sabbath, invites us to find freedom and peace in His presence rather than being bound by rigid rules. This challenges us to embrace grace and prioritize our well-being and relationship with God above legalism.
Action:
Today, take time to rest intentionally. Set aside your worries and tasks for a moment to reconnect with God. Reflect on how you can honor the Sabbath not just as a day of rest, but as a day to deepen your relationship with the Lord and renew your spirit.
Prayer:
Lord Jesus, thank You for reminding me that the Sabbath was made for my good. Help me to rest in Your grace and to find peace in Your presence. Teach me to honor You not just through rules but through a heart that seeks renewal and connection with You. Amen.
